Day 13
Who's your favorite author? What makes them your favorite?
I have a few...
The obvious (well, obvious to me at least) JK Rowling. She captivated an entire generation (and more) with her characters, plots and settings. She ignited reluctant readers into action, kept many regular readers up into the wee hours of the morning and built an empire with an orphaned boy wizard.
Next up I would have to list Garth Nix. His Abhorsen series is well written with good characters and a well thought out alternate world.

Day 5
Name a book that makes you happy.
For me, any Winnie the Pooh book always makes me smile because it reminds me of my childhood. My mom always read the books to me and she can still do all the voices!
Super cool fact: The New York Public Library has an AWESOME Winnie the Pooh exhibit of the ACTUAL stuffed animals about which AA Milne wrote at the Children's Center at 42nd Street and 5th Ave.
Here are a couple of cool articles about the exhibit.
Treasures of the New York Public Library
The Adventures of the REAL Winnie-the-Pooh
And an article about the care of these beloved stuffed friends!
For YA, one of my guilty pleasures is the Princess Diaries books by Meg Cabot. They never fail to make me smile or even laugh out loud.

Day 4
What's your favorite book of your favorite series?
Probably Lirael by Garth Nix, part of the Abhorsen series. This is another series that is great as an audiobook too! They are read by actor Tim Curry.

Day 2
What's a book that you've read more than 3 times?
For me, every book in the Harry Potter series. I have also listened to all of them multiple times. For those people interested in audiobooks, Jim Dale reads the Harry Potter series and he is FANTASTIC!
Here is the NYPL Catalog search for Harry Potter (note that there are a LOT more entries than just the 7 books in the series!)
For those interested in checking out Jim Dale's amazing voice performance, check out the NYPL catalog here or Amazon here.

Let's play a game...
For the next 30 days I'm going to post a question a day. Put your answers in the comments!
Day 1 –
What's the best book you read in 2014?
I'll start! I think possibly it was The Here and Now by Ann Brasheres. It will probably make the list of books I didn't think I would like but ended up loving. The characters are interesting and the plot moves along pretty quickly.
